Limitations of Tests

Obviously the ERMI test yields more conclusive results, testing for 36 molds as opposed to 5. However both tests can be flawed and it is possible to get a good test result and later find mold. For example, if mold is in a wall cavity it may not show up on the test. In the end it is always a good idea to hire a certified mold professional to inspect your home.
